The NTCA was created in 1995, as the National Tuberculosis Controllers Association, to bring together the leaders of tuberculosis control programs in all states and territories, as well as many counties and city health departments that organize their own TB control activities.     March 6, 2024 - CDC releases new TBTIs for Civil Surgeons. These instructions are in accordance with CDC regulations and are for the use of civil surgeons evaluating persons applying for adjustment of status for U.S. permanent residence and others required to have a medical examination.     March 5, 2024 - TAG Launches Latest Tuberculosis Treatment Pipeline Report. The only centralized resource of its kind, the TB Treatment Pipeline Report is for researchers, clinicians, drug sponsors, research funders, civil society, and TB-affected communities looking to better understand the state of the TB treatment pipeline and key issues to consider as the outputs of TB treatment research are being translated into policies. Also accessible on the TAG website are two previously released Pipeline Reports -- one on TB vaccines (October 2023) and the second on TB Diagnostics (November 2023).


    January 16 - CDC just announced the NEW Technical Instructions for Panel Physicians, effective 1/24/2024, with the major changes to TB testing to be fully implemented by 10/2024. Read the DCL to learn more.
